MISS BODY DANCER

March 18, 2009 5:00 p.m. my niece’s Soiree held in Immaculate Heart of Mary College (My Alma Matter) at Saint Francis Gymnasium.

Soiree [swah-rey] - an evening party or social gathering, esp. one held for a particular purpose.

I remembered my soiree 7 to 8 years ago. I was wearing a polka dotted skirt and a turtle neck sleeveless top. It’s probably one of those events that I hated so much because I have to wear a skirt. and the scariest part is that I should have a make- up on. Though my partner that time was my crush (I think.) I cant really recall. Hello?! Almost a decade ago!! Haha

So it is Mikha’s soiree this time.. wow.. bilis ng panahon noh? She’s an incoming high school freshman and I’m an incoming college senior.

Early morning around 10a.m we’re everywhere trying to look for the perfect headband for her red dress. No luck. So we ended up using what Mama bought which is a white ribbon. By 12:00 noon we went to the parlor for manicure and pedicure. And around that time I saw him too and talked to him for what? a couple of minutes. Then after that went straight home. Prepare stuff. As soon as the clock hits 3:30 p.m, Mama and Mikha went to the parlor once again for the hair and make up. So by 5:30 everything is DONE.

Okay fast forward… I just waited home and Mikha arrived home at exactly 11:30p.m carrying a bouquet of flowers and a trophy (or whatever you call it) Ms. Soiree??!?!?!??!! NOT!!! Hahaha But she won Miss Body Dancer. How fun is that? Haha. Soiree. A once in a lifetime experience and looks like she really enjoyed it. She was so hype when she got home with a beautiful smile in her face and now its 12:50a.m she’s already knocked down. Haha

MEDICAL SURGICAL LECTURE

At exactly 09:58pm I got a text message from my friend/classmate Tetai.. “Kuha mo na grade mo sa MS?” wuhoo.. I suddenly felt my heart beating so fast like im having my tachycardia again. I was about to reply “Nope.” And I was thinking I gave my Globe number to Sir Carpon. So probably he won’t text my grade on Sun right? So before sending the text message to Tetai I looked for my other cell phone and there’s one new message. Everything went slow motion. I know I’m over reacting but that’s exactly what I felt. Honestly it’s not an excitement kind of feeling but FEAR. So the text message goes like this:

“Good p.m, CONGRATULATIONS! U passed my medical surgical lec. “keep moving forward” pls indicate ur name 4 reply. Jcarpon. Ur prof and ur friend. Ur grade – 80”

80?! Wuhoo!! Thank God!! Hahaha!! I was super duper worried with my MS grade.. proof? Go to my previous blog entry and look at the left side of my brain. Haha! Then tetai called and she passed too and planned for our thesis revision tomorrow. Haha! Okay..

I MISS YOU. REALLY.

supposedly last night ko pa to na post.. pero di ko na lagay because of the sucky internet connection.. oh well..

I just finished reading metabolic and endocrine functions and decided to check for emails before going to bed. Perfect time for me to listen in our local fm station is around 10:00pm to 2:00am. Currently playing is Colors Of Love by Boys II Men.

In some point between my studying time, I thought of random people coming in and out of my mind.

SCHSY. It was never been the same since we part ways. No, Not literally

part ways. Haha I suddenly reminisced the times that we are complete. In Chem Lab and PE class. I remembered when we are still deciding what to call of group. Haha ka miss lang eh.

GROUP 11. Probably my best RLE group ever. We’re the luckiest people ever! Each rotation, whoever the clinical instructor is, whatever hospital that we’re in, and the after duty happenings. Haha

MY SEATMATES, JHOI AND LULU. Now in my new section, for the information it’s almost end of 2^nd semester and guess what? Still no idea what’s the name of my seatmate alphabetically. And still haven’t talked to her. How fun is that?

FIONA AND CESS. My childhood bestfriends. Childhood as in we’ve been friends for more or less 15 years. Talking about forever!

MY SISTERS. Tetet in Canada. Ate Leah in Dubai. And Ate Maan in Singapore. Ayes in Philippines. That explains it all!

first blog.. yikes! LOL i decided to create an account early morning but still haven't thought of what would be my first entry.. until my mama told and shared her journey in life especially when she was still in her not-yet-married state. she told me EVERYTHING. being a student in UP, quitting, working in a pharmacy at the age of 16 - 17, being enrolled in MLQ major in chemical engineering and working at the same time.. really, i was so inspired. she was super eager to study. to learn, and share it everything to the people she loves. oh how i wish i was as strong as my mama. the eagerness, enthusiasm, passion, and most especially the love on what she was doing. two hands down to my mama. i salute her!
